Matrix raced through the forest, trying to find his best friend, the game sprite, AndrAIa.
Remember when,

The best of friends like,
Sister and brother
"Hey Sparky! Over here!" a voice to Matrix's left called. He raced toward the sound of her voice.
AndrAIa had made up a fire in a small clearing and was cooking some meat over it. "Care for some fish? It's the best I could find."
"Sure," He replied and sat down beside her in the firelight.
We understood
We'd never be
Alone
The two sprites and the dog ate in silence. Finally, Matrix spoke up. "Do you really think we're ever gonna get back home?"
"If we don't give up, yes," Andi replied.
"You could go back into the games if I stop searching, you know," Matrix said, smiling ruefully.
"I know. But I won't. My place is with you," She said, staring into the flames.
Those days are gone
Now I want you so much.
The night is long

Matrix stared at her, but looked away quickly. What does she mean by that? He thought.
AndrAIa yawned and stretched. "I'm going to bed. 'Night Matrix." The warrior got up and headed into one of the two tents.
"Why can't I just tell her?!" Enzo snarled, slamming his fist against the ground.

He stood by the river, getting out his frustration by throwing rocks as hard as he could into it. He turned as he heard Frisket coming up next to him. "Hey boy."
Frisket looked up at his master and whined softly, as if to ask him what was wrong.
"You wouldn't understand," Matrix said, stroking the dog's head. "Why would Andi ever love a guy like me?"
"Enzo?"
I hear your voice
And I start to tremble
Brings back the child that,
I resemble
The renegade froze at the sound of her voice. "Uh, hey AndrAIa," He said quietly.
"Mind if I sit here?"
"Sure," Matrix moved over and the game sprite sat down beside him.
"Is something wrong?"
I cannot pretend

"No why?" Matrix said quickly, feeling his whole body start to shake.
She shrugged. "Just wonderin'. You look kinda pale."
Enzo looked away, not meeting her eyes. Come on Matrix. It's now or never. He told himself.

Enzo took a deep breath and gazed into her dark green eyes. "There's something I need to tell you. I dont know how it happened, but it just did."
"Spit it out already, Enzo!" AndrAIa laughed.

"I love you. If you don't feel the same way, thats okay, I'd understand, but I just had to get that off my chest so-."
AndrAIa cut him off by kissing him gently. Matrix tensed up, then relaxed, returning it. He drew back, searching her face for some sort of an explanation. "What was that for?" he asked breathlessly.
"I love you Sparky," She said, smiling at him. "Come on, I'm tired and the game should be over soon."
The two sprites got up and walked into the tent, hand in hand.
